New Wizd with Popcorn Hour A-100 Compatibility

If you are interested in testing out some minor changes to wizd which add PCH A-100 compatibility, download either the source or binary package below. I've added some minor changes so that wizd can stream AVIs and WMVs to the A-100. I've made no other changes.

Binary Package: wizd executable for Windows

This binary was built on a Windows XP system with Cygwin. An updated cygwin1.dll is included in this package.

Binary Package: wizd executable for Mac OS X (universal binary)

This binary was built on a Mac OS X 10.4.x system with XCode (2.3 or 2.4.1, not sure which).

Source Package: wizd v24a sources

Wizd for Kuro Box, Linux x86_64, and Mac OS X download page (not compatible with PCH A-100)

Wizd is an open-source replacement media server for Syabas-based media players, such as the I-O Data Linkplayer2 and Vertex Link MediaWiz-HD. If you're unfamiliar with these devices, check out the Digital Media Servers and Content Streamers subforum over at AVSForum. In short, these devices allow playback of archived video (high-definition MPEG-2 program and transport streams, high-definition DivX and WMV9 video, ripped DVDs, etc.) on your television without needing an HTPC (home theater PC).

Instructions

Download the binary package for your system. The Wizd binary packages are the same as the Windows binary package from SourceForge, except the Cygwin DLL and Wizd executable have been removed, and the new Wizd executable added. The contents of the libdvdread package should be copied into /usr/local/lib.

Binary Packages: wizd executable and libdvdread.so for the Kuro Box

These binaries were built on my stock Kuro-Box

Binary Packages: wizd executable and libdvdread.so for x86_64 Linux

These binaries were built on an OpenSuSE 10.2 system

Binary Packages: wizd executable for Mac OS X (Universal Binary)

These binaries were built on Mac OS X 10.4.8 with XCode 2.4.1

Older binaries and the old version of this page can be found here.
